Check out our recent photos from the Sowden House, a Lloyd Wright creation, where Elizabeth Short (aka the ‘Black Dahlia’) was speculated to be killed by Dr. George Hodel.
Based on evidence gathered by Dr. George Hodel’s son, Steve Hodel, he strongly believes that his childhood home, the Sowden House, was the location where the Black Dahlia was tortured and killed by his father. Steve Hodel also brought forth evidence linking Dr. Hodel to the Lipstick Killer murders, due to the similarities and connections between them and the Black Dahlia murder. The Black Dahlia case remains unsolved to this day.
With special permission, we are the only non-televised paranormal team to ever be invited inside. Designed by Lloyd Wright, it’s a beautiful location that’s completely restored and renovated from the way it looked when Dr. Hodel lived there.
Note: There have never been any paranormal accounts from any of the past owners and the current bathroom and bathtub were not there when Dr. Hodel was living there.
Didya know: Leonardo Dicaprio put this house and several more in escrow for his parents, they decided not to buy this one.
