On July 17th, 2013 Paranormal EXP investigated Orcutt Ranch in Canoga Park, CA along with fellow paranormal investigator, Rob Wlodarski, who was also celebrating his birthday.
Information and history on Orcutt Ranch and our first investigation can be found here.
Orcutt Ranch is surrounded by orange tree groves and small hidden areas with benches, chairs, and sitting areas. The property is frequently rented out as a setting for weddings, special events and is also home to a 700-year-old oak tree. A stream runs nearby and remains untouched since the property was made. It is theorized that paranormal energy may be attached to the stream, which is referred to as “elemental energy”; where the elements hold on to certain energy.
Upon arrival, Clare and I decided to investigate outside in order to first explore the grounds. We started walking through the orange grove toward the back of the ranch and noticed a woman; straight black hair, black shorts and a colored neon top, walking alone. She was not part of our group. As we walked through the orange trees, we noticed her watching us, then she ducked down and hid behind a small orange tree, yet she was still clearly visible. As we walked away, we continued to watch her odd behavior. She circled the same orange tree, and hid behind it, like a child playing hide-and-seek. We got to the opposite end of the orange grove and she was still visible while continuing to hide behind the same tree. We decided to get a closer look since her movements looked odd and out of place. As we walked in her direction, she was gone. We spent the next hour walking the grounds, and asking people in our group if they had seen this woman and no one had. We cannot deem this a paranormal experience as it could have been a vagrant walking the grounds, however; she disappeared without a trace in a blink of an eye, which is what is most captivating.
